Following my undergraduate studies at the Faculty of History and Archaeology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and my postgraduate studies in the Ancient History and Classical Archaeology I became a tourist guide certified by the Ministry of Tourism.
The experience accumulated by my studies is relevant to the career of a tourist guide. In my estimation, the common ground between the two is that learning, adventure and exploring “new” lands, never end.
My curiosity and adventurous spirit which had me exploring and visiting many challenging and exhilarating paths and corners of Greece, led me to Athens. I would be glad to share my passion and knowledge regarding the remarkable legacy of the Greeks with travelers from all over the world, in Greece, where history comes alive.

I was born and raised in Athens. However, after finishing school I decided to study Economics in London, which was a great experience, but also made me realize once more that I am a very fun person and Economics are too serious for me.
When I was studying in London I realize my passion to explore the city and not just pass my time there like a visitor. So, I decided to share my passion with others in my own hometown, Athens were I lived for all my life and I love with all my heart. This city still manages to amaze me since you will never get bored in Athens, which has such a rich and layered history spanning over 2500 years.
For this reason the Capital really hooked me in and drove me to try to learn as much about the city as possible and to impart that knowledge to visitors. We travel to see and experience something different. If you’re going to visit Athens, expect the people, food, customs, stores, and interactions to be different and unknown. I would like to be your guide to this new journey and show how to experience my city like a local.
Of course the history and beauty of Acropolis demands a visit from anyone visiting Athens, but my favorite think to do in the city is to walk around the Capitals historic center and discover new places to eat or get a drink so I became an expert on that field.

My name is Costas and I am a licensed tourist guide. I have studied history and Balkan studies and I have a master’s degree on Middle East Studies. Greece is like a never ending palimpsest, with many layers of history and human activity going back to the past
As an instructor of modern Greek language, history and culture to immigrants and other foreign people, I understood that the knowledge delivered wouldn’t have been fruitful, unless the beneficiaries visited the places, touched the Athenian sacred stones and tasted the food. As an internal immigrant in Athens, born and raised in Trikala, a picturesque city of Central Greece, I was in their shoes for a long time and I am glad that I managed to show them that past and present intermingle almost in every step in this magnificent city.
Anthropologically speaking intercultural socializing with people from other countries makes me better as a human being especially when I have the opportunity to share my knowledge on history and anthropology of Greece, for as Thucydides has written the human nature does not change.

As a saying goes, your name speaks of who you are, and mine is Christos, which is Chris, in English — meaning "the annointed one," and, by extension, the Chosen One.
I invite you to a once in a lifetime experience, a dive deep into History, a tour to discover Greece's glorious, ancient past, and it's ever-lasting legacy in our time.

I have always been fascinated by Greek history & mythology. I remember myself being the kid that always came home with dirt on its knees, a spoon in the pocket (the ultimate “digging tool”) and many stories to recount about what I had unearthed!
So, I pursued my dream and here I am now, a licensed guide & archaeologist, enjoying every moment of being an “ambassador” of the rich past & present of Greece, sharing knowledge & experiences with travelers who visit my country.

In 2021 I received a Certification as an expert in Cultural Tourism in Europe and I cooperated with the Hellenic Cultural Center by making a series of lectures for promoting Greek History and Culture.
