How do I get from the Piraeus Cruise terminal to Acropolis meeting point

You can get around by taxi (see Useful Info for useful apps) or by Metro. The Piraeus Metro station is located approximately 27 minutes on foot from the cruise terminal exactly opposite port’s Gate E6. If you would rather not walk, you can take a bus (it costs 1.2€ per person and is valid for 90 minutes. So you can use it also for the Metro to Acropolis). You can take bus no. 843 or 859 from the cruise port (starting point) to the metro station. The ride should take approximately 10 minutes.

Then you will take the Metro (blue line) to Syntagma (20 minutes).

At Syntagma, you change to the red line (direction Elliniko) for one more stop (1 minute) to Acropolis.

Outside the Acropolis Metro Station (exit for Makriyianni/Dionysiou Areopaghitou), just opposite the Crescendo Café your guide will be standing next to the Metro sign, on the Makrigianni pedestrian walkway, holding a white and light blue “Athenian Tours” sign.

What to wear when visiting the Acropolis?

There is no formal dress code for visiting the Acropolis of Athens, but it’s recommended to wear comfortable, modest clothing. A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are also suggested to protect yourself from the sun. While there’s no strict requirement, it’s respectful to avoid overly revealing clothing.
